After Fifty Shades of Grey, Boca do Lobo is once again decorating Christian Grey’s hyper-luxury apartment for the second instalment of the series – Fifty Shades Darker.
Boca do Lobo is famous for its gorgeous handmade furniture pieces. Gifted artisans from Portugal merge conventional manufacturing methods with current technological trends to create stunning contemporary furniture, which were also seen in one of the most watched movies of 2015, Fifty Shades of Grey. The original book about a relationship between a business tycoon, Christian Grey, and a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, was written by E.L. James and sold over 100 million copies in 51 different languages. Boca do Lobo had furnished the hyper-luxury apartment of Christian Grey in the first film, and now Universal Studios has selected them to design it once more for the movie’s second instalment, Fifty Shades Darker.
Boca do Lobo’s luxurious and exclusive pieces perfectly mirror the uninhibited and unconventional protagonist of the film. Listed below are some glamorous pieces that adorn Christian Grey’s hyper-luxury apartment.
Fortuna Dining Table: Unique surface texture and amazing finishing make the Fortuna Table the embodiment of sheer class, superiority, mysticism and temptation, and was thus chosen to enhance Christian Grey’s dining room.
Lapiaz Centre Table: Made for the contemporary living room, the Lapiaz Centre Table reflects a contrast between Christian Grey’s exquisite lifestyle and his strong character. Lapiaz is the French word for karst formations produced by surface dissolution of limestone or dolomite rocks, often caused by freezing and thawing in cold climates. Imagine a frozen stone freshly cracked, displaying within a rich, golden interior, refined brass details and mirrored sides, and you have a luxury design furniture piece fit for any modern house.
Symphony Sideboard: Inspired by church organ tubes and the curves of violin, this sideboard features a group of polished brass tubes over an exotic wood structure.
Pixel Cabinet: This cabinet has been made using 1088 triangles, reflecting the rigorous devotion of the creators, and is a funky union of design and craftsmanship.
Eden Series: Influenced by trees and flora, the organic texture was carefully merged with distinctive form of the Eden series. The series offers a wide range of combinations and adaptations to suit all interior and décor settings, and comes in groups of 7, 8 or 15 pieces.
